Apple Notes like many other native Apple application support sharing. In Apple Notes you can share a single note or a folder. Sharing can be done from your Mac, an iPhone or an iPad.

To share single note:

  1. Select the note you want to share and click "Share Note" button.
  2. You can select how you want to share the note. You can choose a contact, you can share via email. Or you can pick "Invite with a Link".
  3. After that you can choose if you want other people to be able to edit the note or only to view that. The options are following:
    1. Mode: "Collaborate" or "Send a Copy"
    2. Who can access: "Only invited people" or "Anyone with a Link".
    3. Permissions: "Can make changes" or "View only"
    4. Allow others to invite: "yes" or "no"
Once you shared the note your guests/collaborators need to accept invitation. After that they would be able to view/edit the note - depending on the sharing settings.

To share notes folder:

Do exactly same steps as above but on the folders level. The benefit here is that you can share specific folder once and then every note you add to the folder will become available to the people with whom folder sharing was done.
